Alexander and his grandpa made a pond last year. (Here's a clip of update 1.)

An elusive leak in the waterfall led me to redo the liner and rocks this week. Alexander was ecstatic. I took him to the rock store and he didn't want to leave the place. They had two ponds and he kept telling me, "Why didn't you tell me before now that this place had ponds? How long have you known they have ponds?"

The waterfall now features flat rocks and Alexander says it's now the way he told Grandpa to make it in the first place (you'll hear him describe that in the video).

Here's a message he sent last week -

Dear Grandpa,

There is a little more pond stuff to do in my pond. I want to hook up a river and put some rocks in it and I want to do a little rocks in it. And there is going to be a nother pond with, instead of a waterfall, there's going to be a fountain that shoots out water and goes back in and there's going to be a long and wide pipe tube that's going to go into the pump and it's going to go over and by the river and it's going to be plugged in.

And that's all. I love you Grandpa and Grandma Hill.
