Delhi - 3/28/08

We were going to attend a cricket match last night, but apparently there was a fight the night before that resulted in the destruction of the ticket booth. They were building a new one when we stopped by to get tickets, so we were out of luck. Instead, we went to a new gigantic mall (1km long, 4 stories) filled with fancy stores that aren't very interesting to me. I'm starting to figure out which foods I like -- I just ask them for the blandest tasting thing they have and it ends up being just the right amount of spice for me.

Today we went to Delhi for some sight-seeing. Here are a few highlights.

	More cords than Alexander would know what to do with. No wonder the power goes out several times a day. It has gone out twice while I've been writing this.

	Friday mosque (Jama Masjid). Since it was Friday, it was filled with Muslims praying and discussing.

	Delhi from above - we climbed a minaret, which is an experience that combines all of my favorite phobias: claustro, acro, and whatever "fear of darkness", "fear of falling", and "fear of crowds (agorophobia?)" are.
	Either pyromania or road repair.
	Hunger strike till death -- over a month already!
